The EE-team is glad to invite you to its first Insights, a free event for professionals and academics, on the 6th of September 2011, at CRP Henri Tudor, in Luxembourg (access map).

Enterprise Architecture – The business transformation cockpit

The InSIghts events focus on practical insights in service innovation and enterprise transformations in general. In doing so, it aims to bring together practitioners and researchers on current topics within the field, with the aim to share insights, transfer knowledge, and identify open research issues/challenges.

The program will involve three presentations, followed by a discussion between the audience and presenters.

This event is linked to the PRET industrial track and will be held during the CEC’11 conference.

  • 16:30 : Welcome speech by Erik Proper, Public Research Centre Henri Tudor
  • 16:40 : Using architecture principles to transform organizations, by Danny Greefhorst.MScDanny Greefhorst, MSc. is a Principal Consultant and Director of ArchiXL in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, and acts as an architect and consultant for clients in the financial and public sector.Danny is responsible for the EA portal Via Nova Architectura (www.via-nova-architectura.org). He is also a member of the governing board of the architecture department of the Dutch Computer Science Association (Ngi).
  • 17:10 : From business model to execution, by Dick QuartelDick Quartel works as a senior research consultant at BiZZdesign, which offers complete and integrated solutions to design and improve organisations. Within this role he works on the continuous innovation of BiZZdesign’s tools, consultancy services and training programmes. Dick’s expertise and interests include enterprise and service-oriented architecture, requirements management, business process and service engineering, business process management, model-driven software development, semantic interoperability, and portfolio management.Before joining BiZZdesign, he worked for four years as a senior researcher at Novay. He started his carreer as an assistant professor at the University of Twente after obtaining his MSc and PhD degree in Computer Science from the same university. Dick has worked in many national and European projects and has published his work in various journals and conferences.
